Bones plays vital roles in the body. Healthy bones not only provides structure but also protects internal organs from injure. Due to lack of nutrition bone disorders may occurs. Osteoporosis is one of the  common bone disorder. In Osteoporosis disorder, bones become thin and can be easily fractured. Good nutrition is very important to keep the bones healthy at all age.

How should I keep bones Healthy?

Calcium:



      Calcium plays vital role in healthy bones .It also needed by teeth, heart, nerves and muscles.Taking calcium reduces bone loss and decreases the risk of fracturing. The body cannot produce calcium that’s why they must be absorbed from external resources.
The superior source of Calcium is dairy foods and green vegetables. Dairy products such as milk, cheese, cottage cheese are the rich sources of Calcium.

Vitamin D:


Vitamin D also important to keep better health of bones. It is necessary to maintain and build strong bones. It decreases bone loss and risk of fracture. It helps to treat and prevent osteoporosis.
Fish oil, butter eggs are rich sources of vitamin D.Vitamin D is also available from multivitamin supplements.

 Physical Exercise:

Physical exercise in your life is best for healthy bone, heart and your body. It actually builds    Strong bones .Exercise plays vital role in maintaining bone mass. It improves posture, promotes balance to avoid falls and increases muscle mass. Exercise is key for healthy life.

 Stop smoking and limit alcohol intake:

Tobacco is also bad for your overall bone health. If you are smoker then you are taking risk of osteoporosis. Excess drinking of alcohol may also harmful for your bones. So quit smoking and avoid drinking alcohol. 
Tobacco products are bad for your overall health, including your bone health. If you are a smoker and decide to continue to smoke, you are taking the chance of developing osteoporosis and may be increasing your risk for fracture.
Drinking alcohol to excess may also be harmful for your bones. People who consume too much alcohol tend to have poor nutrition and an increased risk for injury related to falling.

Other supplements:

Some drugs like Fosamax also help to cure Osteoporosis in women. It makes bones strong and prevents bones fractures.
